Police have said that two people were killed after a rollover car accident occurred in Las Cruces.

The accident occurred on Interstate 25 when a woman was traveling southbound and her tire came off of the car. A man and woman in the car were killed as a result and two others were taken to University Medical Center in El Paso by helicopter.

State police stated that four or five people were ejected from the vehicle in the accident. Names of passengers involved in the accident have not yet been released and police are continuing the investigation at this time.
