The Ford Motor Company has issued a voluntary recall of 150,000 trucks because of an airbag defect that causes the airbag to deploy without warning.

This recall includes the 2005-2006 models of the Ford F-150 trucks and the company has called the risk of injury, relatively low. This recall is much lowers than the one that the government requested.

The government was urging for 1.3 million trucks to be recalled because they wanted to include the 2004 models. Earlier this month, Ford recalled 350,000 F-150s for a defect that could cause the door to open when involved in a crash.
