Two men escaped serious injury after being involved in an SUV rollover crash on Thursday afternoon.

According to officials, the accident occurred on the northbound lane of Liberty Street when a Chevrolet Blazer somehow lost control while driving and struck a fire hydrant. The SUV then flipped and rolled over onto its roof as a result of the crash.

Two men in the SUV managed to escape serious injury in the crash, but were treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries. Police are currently still investigating the accident and a blood test is being done to see if intoxication was a reason for the crash. No charges have been filed as a result of the crash at this time.
