Chevrolet Silverado Truck Rollover Kills Wyoming Man
Man dies of injuries from Chevy truck rollover. Brandon J. Collins, 28, of Rock Springs died at 2:10 a.m. Tuesday after he rolled his truck Monday night near Gillette, said Wyoming Highway Patrol Sgt. Stephen Townsend.
Collins was driving his 2001 Chevrolet Silverado truck about 13 miles south of Gillette on Highway 59 at 9:54 p.m. when he took a left curve too quickly. He struck two delineator posts on the side of the road, then overcorrected and crossed both lanes of traffic.
The truck left the road on the east side and rolled three or four times before coming to rest on its tires at milepost 93.2. Collins was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the truck as it rolled, Townsend said. He was taken to Campbell County Memorial Hospital but died early Tuesday morning.
