A man from Lansing was killed after an ATV accident near his home.

According to officials, the accident occurred as the man took the ATV out on a Sunday afternoon around lunch time and the vehicle slipped on the roadway causing it to fall on its side.

The man was left pinned underneath the ATV after the which occurred 40 to 50 feet down a hill from his house. Paramedics rushed to the scene in order to try and free the man from underneath the vehicle, but despite the efforts he was later pronounced dead. He may have been pinned for up to an hour after.

ATV rollover accidents can happen suddenly and cause serious injury or worse due to their large size. Our thoughts are with the friends and family of the victim.
