A man was killed in rollover SUV accident after he lost control of his vehicle while driving in southeastern Iowa.

According to Iowa State Patrol, the man was traveling on U.S. Highway 218 just after 12:30 p.m. when his car went off of the shoulder and the driver attempted to get the vehicle back on the road, but overcorrected the vehicle.

The driver the lost control and it flipped and rolled into a ditch. The driver of the car was injured and the passenger inside was killed from injuries sustained in the accident. Both people in the car were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.
