American automaker, Ford, recently issued a recall of more than four dozen new Mustang models due to faulty seat belt sensors in the front passenger seat, an article of Consumer Affairs stated on December 10.
Reports said the seat belt sensors in 50 units of 2015 Mustang models may fail to properly identify the size of an occupant. Front seat passengers are at risk of sustaining injuries in accidents due to unnecessary deployment of airbag caused by the faulty sensors. The automaker will address the issue by installing a new buckle in the affected vehicles.
