A woman was killed after a SUV rollover accident occurred on the Eisenhower Expressway this morning.

According to police officials, the accident occurred at 3:3o a.m. when a Maywood woman lost control of the vehicle and went over an embankment on the side of the road, which caused the vehicle to flip and rollover.

The Chicago Tribune reported that the 40-year-old woman was partially thrown from the car as a result and she was pronounced dead when emergency crews arrived at the scene. Police closed the lanes of traffic near the Racine Avenue exit in order to investigate.
