Two people were recently injured near San Antonio River Road in a pickup truck rollover accident, the Victoria Advocate reported on July 11.
Reports said at around 3:00 p.m., the front left tire of the Ford F-250 pickup driven by Sanford Keith Amey ruptured while he was traveling north on U.S. Highway 77. Trooper Ruben San Miguel stated that the pickup truck flipped over after Amey lost control and ended up on the other side of the highway. Amey, who was believed to be critically hurt, was airlifted to a hospital in Corpus Christi while his female passenger, identified as Regina Lavon Amey, was transported to another hospital.
Sadly, many people are seriously injured in car accidents. For pickup truck rollover accidents in particular, a defect in the tires or an inherently unsafe design may have contributed to the wreck.
