Two people were killed and 10 others injured after the GMC Yukon SUV they rode in rolled over after a tire blowout, a KXAN article reported on August 2.
Reports coming from authorities said the SUV containing 12 people was traveling southbound on SH 130 when its tire suddenly burst. The SUV reportedly lost control and flipped several times off the road. Eight occupants of the SUV had been thrown from the vehicle when authorities arrived. Responding Emergency Medical Service (EMS) crews said two female adults were killed in the rollover. Ten other people, half of whom were minors, were brought to the hospital due to serious injuries they sustained from the crash.
