Two people were killed and four others injured in a rollover accident that occurred on I-29 in Crescent City, Iowa.

According to Iowa State Patrol officials, the accident occurred when as a man was traveling north in the right lane of traffic and attempted to pass another car. While doing so, he lost control and swerved back into the right lane, where he collided with another vehicle.

Both vehicles went off the side of the road before flipping, rolling over and landing in a ditch. Emergency crews pronounced two people dead at the scene after they were ejected from the car during the rollover. Four people were transported to the hospital for treatment.
