A 19-year-old man was killed after a rollover crash occurred on Highway 99 as the Ford Contour he was riding passenger seat in, drove off the side of the road and overturned.

According to Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as the car went on the gravel and the driver overcorrected to get back onto the roadway. He then lost control of the car and flipped over.

A passing vehicle then stopped in order to pull the driver from the crashed vehicle. The driver was then taken to Enloe Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries and the passenger was pronounced dead as a result of the accident.
